UCSD - SPORTS MEDICINE ATHLETIC REHABILITATION – INTERNSHIP - 2014
This clinic serves UCSD athletes, treating many types of muscular and skeletal injuries alongside physical therapists and athletic trainers. Acupuncture in this setting is used to help rehabilitate post-operative injuries, sports injuries, and improve athletic performance by increasing range of motion, muscle strength, and tissue healing potential.

Sports injury progressed in to a chronic pain condition and obesity
Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia – Western Medicine: unknown cause, believed to be an over active nervous system

In search for good health he begins learning about Chinese Medicine and other methods of natural healing. Once experiencing the effects of Chinese Medicine and finding an undiscovered and un-suggested method to treat his condition he continued to become fascinated and it fueled a continuous hunger that ultimately resulted in a career change.
Personal Interests
Chinese Medicine is one of his passion, he also loves yoga, hiking, snorkeling, and the beach.
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Antonio Provencio is a licensed acupuncturist in Hawaii and California, and he is the founder of East 2 West Integrative Medicine. Antonio graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) San Diego in 2015, he is currently a doctoral candidate at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. Antonio is also a board member of the Hawaii Acupuncture Association (HAA) and is active in pursuing activities that help improve patient access to acupuncture and acceptance of the profession. When Antonio is not busy studying, working, or caring for patients, he enjoys being in the beautiful nature of Hawaii, hiking and snorkeling are some of his favorite activities.
